Registering your boat in Poland is a straightforward process when you have the right documents at hand. To ensure a smooth registration experience, please prepare the following essential documents:

To register a boat required are:

  • Proof of ownership – This may include a purchase and sale agreement, invoice, bill of sale, or a notary statement.
  • De-registration document – Only applicable if this is not the first registration.
  • Copy of ID/passport – Or a company formation document, if the vessel is owned by a company.
  • Engine documents – Required for engines over 20 HP.
  • CE Certificate or Class Certificate – Necessary if the yacht is less than 10 years old, was not manufactured in the European Union, or has never been registered in the EU before.
  • Measurement document – If the vessel is over 15 meters long, for example: builders certificate, tonnage certificate, survey report or yacht manual etc.
  • Photo of the vessel identification number (HIN/VIN/CIN/INI) – Required only if the hull number complies with the Registration Office’s criteria. If the hull number does not meet the Registration Office’s criteria, a Polish identification number will be assigned. The required format is:YY-xxx@@@@@X999, where:
    Y is a letter
    x is a letter or digit (excluding 0 and 1)
    @ is a letter or digit (excluding I, O, and Q)
    X is a letter (A–L)
    9 is a digit

If your current hull number does not meet this format and you require confirmation of the actual number, you may optionally order an Extract Document.
